Milspec Energy was engaged by Sunterra as a subcontractor for multiple work packages at the Wollar Solar Farm.
- The first scope involved the installation and termination of 33 kV cables at the collector feeders on the solar farm’s MVS switchgear. Milspec completed termination and commissioning works across 25 MVS stations, undertaking more than 130 individual 33 kV terminations in under a 14 day period.
- The second scope comprised the rectification of faulty or damaged MV switchgear that had been previously installed by another contractor. This included civil rectification works such as the removal of existing cables from the MV units, extraction of the defective switchgear, and subsequent reinstallation, termination, and commissioning of replacement units to restore full operational integrity.
- Following these works, a separate work package was issued to MilSpec Energy Solutions to undertake civil bulk earthworks, including drainage rectifications, MVS pad rebuilds, and road rectification works throughout the solar farm to reinstate site integrity and compliance with design levels and drainage requirements.
- Commissioning of Harmonic Filters
